If one thinks about tactical outfits one would believe that these pieces are used for combat mission specifically, but as fashion has involved the fashion forward individuals have been able to thus turn a normal tactical vest that a person would use to go to war, fishing etc. And in today’s terms “make it fashion” and in 2019 we find ourselves in a fashion society where tactical vest designs have now been used as inspiration for some of Louis Vuitton latest collections as seen on by skater Lucien Clarke who modeled one of the pieces for Virgil Ablohs 1st fashion show for Louis Vuitton. This has seen the emergence of A Cold Wall a street wear label that focuses on technical and tactical street wear looks with their latest offering joining Nike with a collabo for their iconic air force 1s. Releasing two colorways in black and one in white.
But this just goes to show that this all due to the fact that a group of fashion forward individuals looked at some tactical vests and thought to themselves that, that shit would be super fire and decided to rock it? So what does this say? For my personal opinion it shows that street wear is taking over fashion and fashion looks for street wear for answers and ideas. Because if we are honest with each other as fashion lovers although that main pieces are being launched inside for the masses and the fashion elite. The real fashion week is outside where the fashion forward risk takers are showcasing their fits that they have put together. And that’s the reason why tactical street wear was born. It was those individuals that decided to be different that influenced many of the fashion elites that we know today.
